11 year old Osaïa Reding recently competed in the 2nd annual La Manga Xperience, an event that is part of the 2015 Spanish Kitesurf Cup, which took place last weekend in La Manga, Mar Menor.
This year’s championship attracted more than 150 dedicated amateur and professional participants from all over Spain. Kitesurfing is a constantly growing sport due to the speed, jumps and aerial manoeuvres that are it’s main features, which you definitely have to see for yourself.
Osaïa was not the only member of her family to participate in this tournament as her father and trainer, Sebastien Reding, finished in fifth place, which is not a bad result for the oldest participant of this competition. Osaïa’s enthusiasm for the sport is immense, as she almost always wins a place on the podium of the championships she attends.
We can see Osaïa practicing on the beaches of her home town Mojácar whenever the weather permits, along with Sebastien. Mojácar Town Hall is one of her main sponsors and supports her in all her competitions.
Her Kitesurf board bears the Indalo emblem representing Mojácar town, of which Osaïa is immensly proud as it is very close to her heart.
