Spain is television crazy, with average figures showing that people watch TV for 226 minutes a day, putting it in one of the highest viewing brackets in the world. Figures from Kantar Media say that the Costa Blanca and the Valencia region are the hotbed for viewing, with the largest amount in Spain, clocking in at an astounding four hours and four minutes per day, per person. In contrast, the Canary Islands are the shortest watchers, but still view almost three and a half hours. In contrast with other European countries, and probably down to the high cost, satellite viewing in Spain is virtually non-existent with just three point seven percent of programming being watched via a dish.
