The rotting corpse of a three-metre long shark washed up on a Torrevieja beach last weekend. The bluntnose sixgill shark washed up on El Cura beach and is common in local waters but is rarely seen near the coast as they live in deep water. Fully grown, the shark can reach up to five metres in length, and so this specimen was relatively young. The body was removed and disposed of by municipal cleaners.
