Akapo, five-star midfielder for CD Torrevieja defence

CD Torrevieja has signed another new player in the form of Javier Akapo Martínez (Elche, 1996) to the club. Akapo is a midfield player. He stands out for his excellent long balls, good passes, speed and impressive aerial power.

The 21-year-old footballer has come from UD Ilicitana where last season he had an important role to play in the team’s successful campaign. Akapo also has experience of playing in the Third Division, after forming part of the CD Binéfar team in 2016-2017, during which he played 27 matches, 19 of them as captain.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
