The International Festival of Bands will take place this week at the Eras de la Sal.

The two-day event will be held on Thursday and Friday, August 23 and 24.

Entrance is free for the concerts that start at 10 p.m., so it will also me nice and cool by the time the bands take to the stage.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
