Woman Rescued after Cliff Fall

Fire fighters were called to rescue a woman who had fallen from a cliff at the coves of Torrevieja on Saturday.

The woman, said to be in her fifties, had fallen in the La Higuera cove at around 11:00 in the morning.

Three rescue units and a paramedic ambulance attended the scene with fire fighters lifting her back to the top on a stretcher, before the ambulance took her to hospital with several contusions to the knee and hand.
