Model Boats on Night Navigation Exercise

Starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, the 10th edition of Radio Navigation, organised by the Naval Modelling Association of Torrevieja, will take place on the lake at the park of nations.

The park is the ideal location for such an event, as the lake is a scaled down replica of Europe, including flags representing the countries, and so miniature boats sailing through the calm waters lends an air of near realism to the proceedings.

The participating model captains will show off their skill with their radio controlled boats, with prizes for the best decorated and illuminated boats.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
