If you’re out and about in Torrevieja on Friday, be sure to keep an eye out for Cruz Roja members, who will be offering flags for those who support them with a little donation.

The teams will have information tables set up, one at the Plaza de la Constitución and one near the Hombre del Mar on the sea front promenade, open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

If you give them any money, they will give you a little flag sticker to wear, showing that you have supported them, and the money will go towards projects supporting children in the community.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
