The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has reported a total of 6,495 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests since the last update. The new cases by province are 1,074 in Castellón (184,878 in total), 1,648 in Alicante (514,618 in total) and 3,773 in Valencia (808,935 in total).
Of these, 3,056 are from people over 60 years of age. By provinces: 555 from Castellón, 837 from Alicante and 1,664 from Valencia.
Valencian hospitals currently have 1,194 people admitted, 65 of them in the ICU: 182 in the province of Castellón, 6 in the ICU; 409 in the province of Alicante, 26 of them in the ICU; and 603 in the province of Valencia, 33 in the ICU.
35 deaths from coronavirus have been reported since the last update, all with a date of death in the last 7 days, except one that is from June. They are 19 women between 60 and 103 years old, and 16 men between 70 and 92 years old. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 9,623: 1,128 in the province of Castellón, 3,657 in Alicante and 4,838 in Valencia.
