1,447 new cases of coronavirus in the Valencian Community, 770 of them in people over 60 years of age

The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has reported a total of 1,447 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests since the last update. The new cases by province are 193 in Castellón (189,415 in total), 491 in Alicante (524,440 in total) and 763 in Valencia (826,971 in total).

Of these, 770 are from people over 60 years of age. By provinces: 108 from Castellón, 256 from Alicante and 406 from Valencia.

Valencian hospitals currently have 615 people admitted for COVID-19, of which 33 are in the ICU: 106 in the province of Castellón, 5 in the ICU; 184 in the province of Alicante, 8 of them in the ICU, and 325 in the province of Valencia, 20 in the ICU.

There have been 17 coronavirus deaths reported since the last update, all with a death date in the last 14 days. They are 12 women, between 56 and 96 years old, and 5 men, between 72 and 90 years old. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 9,949: 1,175 in the province of Castellón, 3,797 in Alicante and 4,977 in Valencia.
