Torrevieja Fair to Open on Friday (hopefully)

After 6 months of being unable to operate, missing the Easter season, on account of the development work at the Torrevieja harbour, and promises and let downs along the way, the Torrevieja fair is now set to open on Friday 30th July 2023, at 7 p.m. (unless anything else goes wrong between now and then).

The Torrevieja fair has moved though, and is now located in the vecinity of the Friday market at Parque Antonio Soria, near the water park and Carrefour.

It will have to close again and reduce at times to allow other events to take place, but for the 80 stall holders who rely on the income of tourists, being able to operate finally will be a blessing.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
