The Orihuela Local Police have talked about the most recent efforts in document checks and preventive security in the town. The officers said that these actions “continue to yield conclusive results for everyone’s peace of mind.”
Because of these operations, a stolen car has been found and given back to its owner. Officers halted a car that had been reported stolen in Valencia during a routine check. The two people inside, who were from Albania, were quickly arrested on suspicion of being involved in the theft.
During the same operation, police uncovered that a driver had never gotten a driver’s licence. Police stopped him from driving any further to keep him and others safe on the road, and he has already been called to court.
The Local Police stress how important these checks are by saying, “They are not just routine procedures or places set up specifically to issue fines, but rather the key tool for detecting criminals on the road, removing drivers who endanger your life and that of your family from the streets, and maintaining Orihuela as a safe environment.”
