According to police sources, two individuals, a 54-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman, were apprehended by the National Police in Elda on Saturday, March 28th, in connection with the alleged use of false documentation to facilitate immigration procedures.
The operation commenced when a woman arrived at the Documentation Unit with the intention of obtaining a permit that would enable her to operate independently in Spain. She allegedly submitted falsified documentation in order to do so.
An investigation initiated by his detention led to the identification and location of a second individual who is accused of providing fraudulent documents to foreign citizens in exchange for 250 euros each.
The irregularity of the documentation presented was identified by the agents of the Immigration and Borders Brigade of the Elda-Petrer Police Station, which was instrumental in the investigation’s advancement.
After the police procedures were completed, the detainees were given to the duty investigating tribunals of Elda.
