Elche (Alicante) Local Police have arrested two men aged 23 and 24 for allegedly attacking a 36-year-old man with a 30-centimeter machete in the Carrús neighbourhood soup kitchen, according to municipal officials.
Police received a complaint of a brawl in the street. According to witnesses, the brawl started following an argument in a business’s wait, when two people attempted to cut in queue. Following an initial verbal dispute, the accused aggressors fled the scene but returned shortly later with a weapon and a broom handle.
When Local Police arrived, they discovered the victim with a bleeding cut on his left forearm and abrasions on his elbow. The cops quickly requested medical aid for the injured individual, who was subsequently led by a police unit to Elche University General Hospital.
Because of the description supplied by witnesses and the investigations conducted at the scene, police units launched a search operation in the adjacent streets, which resulted in the arrest of the two alleged criminals, who were taken before the court.
