Injured man evacuated by helicopter from Alicante mountain

After receiving the report at 10:24 a.m. on Saturday April 25th, the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium participated in a rescue operation, which concluded at 12:20 p.m. The incident occurred in the municipality of Vall de Laguart, approximately 100 metres from the Isbert dam.

The rescue operation involved a 50-year-old male who was suspected of having sustained an ankle fracture. In order to execute the evacuation, a rescuer descended to the injured man’s location and hoisted him to the rescue helicopter using a pulley.

Subsequently, the injured individual was evacuated and transferred to a Basic Life Support (BLS) unit in San Vicente Park. The Alpha 01 helicopter and the Special Rescue Group (GER) were involved in the operation.
