The local police in Dénia caught 11 motorbikes operating above the permitted noise limits in just a single day. The vehicles were intercepted during a comprehensive inspection checkpoint that targeted all types of vehicles in the Torrecremada market area on Monday, 18th May.
The operation included general traffic inspections alongside specific noise pollution monitoring, leading to a notable set of statistics for such a brief timeframe. Alongside the 11 vehicles flagged for exceeding maximum sound emission levels, officers recorded 10 infractions related to vehicle and driver documentation. Furthermore, the authorities issued three penalties for violations of the General Circulation Regulations and caught two individuals in possession of narcotic substances.
Specific, targeted checkpoints will continue to be deployed across the municipality to verify that vehicle acoustic levels remain strictly within legally established limits, following a high number of offences identified during Monday’s operation in Torrecremada.
