The National Police have arrested three people in Elda for drug trafficking during various security checks carried out in the municipality. The operations were part of a preventative safety plan aimed at policing nightlife areas and neighbourhoods with a higher influx of people.
Officers seized various quantities of cocaine, marijuana, and hashish, which they prepared for immediate sale, as well as cash. The first arrest took place in the Tafalera neighbourhood, where officers intercepted a vehicle and found several wrappers of cocaine and hashish, as well as a significant amount of cash in small notes.
The other two arrests occurred during checks near leisure entertainment areas and public parks. In those instances, two individuals were intercepted while carrying various doses of marijuana and cocaine. All three detainees have been placed at the disposal of the relevant investigating courts in Elda.
