Torrevieja Council has taken a fresh step forward in the contracting process for the phase one redevelopment works at the Casa Grande industrial estate. The project, which is valued at 1.98 million euro, has progressed after the contracting committee admitted all five bids submitted to the tender process.
The contracting committee accepted every proposal presented by the competing firms. At the same time, it rejected the processing of an allegation made by one of the businesses, ruling that the complaint raised town planning issues completely unrelated to the actual bidding process.
This multi-year project is designed to modernise the primary industrial zone of the municipality. The extensive upgrades aim to improve road safety, pedestrian access, and the overall functionality of the public space, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the local business sector in Torrevieja.
The phase one works will cover a designated area between Calle Pañol and Avenida Rosa Mazón, encompassing several interior streets such as Calle Obenque, Calle Estay, Calle Ballestringe, Calle Ciaboga, Calle Gabia, and Calle Calabrote, alongside a section of Avenida Delfina Viudes.
