A 35-year-old motorcyclist has died and a 24-year-old female passenger has been seriously injured following a road traffic accident on Sunday afternoon in Villajoyosa. The incident occurred on the N-332 road at kilometre 143, within the municipality of Villajoyosa, Alicante.
According to Guardia Civil sources, the armed institute is currently investigating the causes of the crash. The incident involved the motorcycle veering off the left side of the road before colliding with the central reservation.
Legal proceedings are under way to clarify the facts. The Guardia Civil explained that among the potential factors being investigated is whether the vehicle was travelling at an inappropriate speed for the specific layout of the road.
