A man has been arrested in Javea for allegedly using chemical submission to rob victims he met through a dating application.
The suspect reportedly took advantage of any oversight or distraction to slip a mixture of cocaine and benzodiazepines into the drinks of his victims without their consent. He intended to leave them unconscious so that he could subsequently steal from them.
The investigation was triggered after the reported incidents came to light in Javea. As part of the operational response to the reported crimes, the Guardia Civil carried out the arrest.
