A family has launched an urgent appeal for public help to trace witnesses to a traffic accident that took place on the afternoon of Monday, 24th August on the N-332, along the stretch connecting El Altet and Santa Pola.
The incident occurred at approximately 6.20 pm on the Santa Pola road, specifically near the El Altet slip road heading towards Santa Pola. The family of the young man involved is attempting to gather information to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.
The appeal seeks information from any motorist or passer-by who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened. In particular, the family is desperate to locate a woman who pulled over at the scene immediately after the crash and spoke directly with the young man.
This specific witness is also known to have spoken with the officers from a local police patrol car that was present at the location. However, the family remains uncertain whether the officers were from the Elche or Santa Pola municipal police force.
As they do not have the woman’s contact details, the family believes her account could prove vital in clarifying how the incident occurred.
Furthermore, the request for assistance extends to anyone driving along that section of the N-332 around 6.20 pm who may hold any photographs or video footage. The family asks motorists to review recordings from mobile devices or vehicle dashcams to see if they captured the crash itself or the moments leading up to and following it.
They stress that any detail, regardless of how small it might seem, could be crucial to the investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the crash, knows the identity of the woman who stopped, or possesses relevant images is urged to reach out via private message to the individual who posted the original appeal on social media. The family also asks the public to share the post widely to maximise the chances of finding the key witness or gathering further details about the incident on the road between El Altet and Santa Pola.
