The spokesperson for the Socialist Municipal Group in Torrevieja Town Hall and local party general secretary, Bárbara Soler, has put forward her candidacy to lead the party list in the 2027 local elections.
Soler is taking part in the internal selection process opened by the PSPV-PSOE to determine who will head their campaign teams in the upcoming municipal polls.
The politician stated that she is approaching the internal race with responsibility, determination, and great enthusiasm, adding that Torrevieja needs a prepared socialist project to govern and transform the municipality.
Starting from her current roles as spokesperson for the main opposition group in the council and general secretary of the local branch, Soler aims to secure the nomination to stand for mayor.
She connected her candidacy to the efforts carried out inside the party over recent years, explaining that she takes this step with the confidence of having worked alongside her colleagues, maintaining the same motivation to build a solid alternative for the residents of Torrevieja.
With the submission of her bid, Soler officially joins the PSPV-PSOE internal selection process ahead of the May 2027 elections, where the party will attempt to win back the Mayor’s Office in Torrevieja.
