A 79-year-old man has died following a road traffic accident in Benidorm, while an 80-year-old woman sustained injuries in the same incident, according to information supplied by the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU).
The incident occurred at approximately 4:26 pm on Sunday afternoon, 6th September, when the CICU was alerted to a traffic collision on the N-332 road, specifically at the roundabout leading to the Terra Mítica exit.
Emergency services dispatched a SAMU intensive care unit and a Basic Life Support (SVB) unit to the scene to assist the two individuals involved.
Upon arrival, medical personnel found the 79-year-old man in cardiorespiratory arrest. Healthcare workers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures on the patient, but there was no response, and they were only able to confirm his death.
The 80-year-old woman was treated by emergency staff for multiple injuries and was subsequently transferred to the hospital in Villajoyosa for further medical care.
