From today, Tuesday, 15th September, new parking regulations come into effect along Calle Ramón Gallud, one of the main commercial and service thoroughfares in the town centre of Torrevieja.
The Local Police Councillor for Torrevieja Town Hall, Federico Alarcón, announced the introduction of the new measure, which limits driver parking to a maximum of two hours between 08:00 and 20:00 on working days.
Outside of these hours, from 20:00 to 08:00, parking remains permitted without the two-hour restriction. Similarly, the limit does not apply on non-working days.

According to Federico Alarcón, the core aim of the modification is to better organize parking in Calle Ramón Gallud and encourage a higher turnover of vehicles during peak business hours. By preventing vehicles from occupying spaces for the entire day, the local authority aims to ensure more residents and visitors can find parking when visiting local businesses, conducting errands, or accessing central city services.
The Local Police have called on motorists to pay close attention to the newly installed road signs and strictly observe the two-hour maximum limit during the restricted hours.
