The Auditorio Internacional de Torrevieja is launching a brand new playroom childcare service during performances, an initiative designed to make it easier for families to attend and enjoy the cultural programme of the city whilst their children are cared for in a safe, comfortable, and entertaining setting.
The service will operate for the first time on Saturday, 3 October, coinciding with the show “Remember” by the well-known comedian, actor, and stand-up performer Dani Martínez, which takes place at the venue at 20:00.
Capacity for the inaugural session will be strictly limited to a maximum of 25 children. Throughout the performance, the youngsters will stay in a specially adapted playroom area under the continuous supervision of specialist activity leaders. During this period, the team will run games, workshops, and age-appropriate recreational activities, giving adults the freedom to watch the show with peace of mind whilst their children enjoy dedicated entertainment within the venue.
Children will be welcomed starting 30 minutes before the curtain goes up. Monitors will receive the young guests in the designated space, with auditorium staff on hand to direct families to the exact location upon arrival at the complex. Children do not need their own admission ticket to use the playroom service.
To ensure safety, each child will be fitted with an identification wristband at check-in bearing their name, a family contact telephone number, and the seat number of the responsible adult. This identification system allows staff to quickly reach parents or guardians during the performance should the need arise. Once the show concludes, children must be collected from the same handover point by the authorised family member.
Organisers recommend that families arrive well in advance to complete registration smoothly. Parents are also requested to inform staff of any allergies, special requirements, or relevant details concerning their child. With places capped at 25 children for this first session, reservations must be booked in advance by emailing hola@culturatorrevieja.com.
Through this new provision, the Auditorio Internacional de Torrevieja continues to expand family-friendly facilities, combining cultural engagement for adults with supervised fun for children under the concept of an auditorium designed for the entire family.
