Ryanair has announced the launch of two new direct routes from the Alicante-Elche airport for the summer 2027 season, adding connections to Naples in Italy and Tangier in Morocco. The low-cost Irish airline, which is the leading carrier by passenger numbers and operates a base at the Alicante-Elche facility, will begin these new services from El Altet.
The new connection to Naples is scheduled to start on 28th March 2027, operating with two frequencies each week on Thursdays and Sundays. On this route, Ryanair will compete directly with easyJet, which has maintained a connection between Alicante-Elche and the Italian city with two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays since 2024.
Meanwhile, the new link to Tangier will also commence on 28th March 2027, featuring three weekly frequencies operating on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This route marks Ryanair’s entry into a service previously introduced by Vueling during the summer 2026 season. At present, the Spanish airline has not yet confirmed whether it will maintain the route for the upcoming summer season.
