The Guardia Civil has arrested five people, aged between 30 and 70, in Torrevieja after discovering that a criminal organisation previously dismantled had resumed its illicit drug activities.
Officers launched the operation in Torrevieja following intelligence indicating that the network had restarted operations, continuing to supply narcotics from a residential property. During the intervention, authorities uncovered an active cocaine laboratory alongside a dedicated drug distribution point operating inside the house.
Investigators confirmed that the suspects had returned to their criminal enterprise despite previous police actions against the group. The five individuals, comprising three women and two men, were taken into custody and face charges related to drug trafficking and organised crime.
The operation highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to dismantle persistent drug networks and secure public safety within Torrevieja. Further investigations remain underway as judicial proceedings progress.
