The National Police have arrested a sports instructor at a paddle surf club in the province of Alicante as the alleged perpetrator of ten offences of sexual assault against German minors. The victims were in Spain on an exchange programme to study Spanish.
According to information provided by the authorities, the alleged assaults occurred during a water activity supervised by the detainee, which formed part of the educational schedule organised by the young people’s language school. The case came to light following a formal complaint filed by the director of the centre.
Based on testimonies gathered by officers, the minors stated that they had experienced inappropriate physical contact, which they described as deliberate, unnecessary, and deeply uncomfortable. Some of the students even confronted the instructor directly regarding his behaviour.
Following the police proceedings, the man was brought before the duty courts of instruction in Alicante, where he must answer for ten alleged offences of sexual assault.
