Councillor for the Coast, Martina Scheurer, released the details last week of the route to be taken by the forthcoming Orihuela Costa Three Kings Parade on Sunday 5 January.
Accompanied by a representative from La Zenia Boulevard, Almudena Soubrier, Ms Scheurer said that the procession would depart la calle Nicolás de Bussy, from behind the school, at 5pm and parade to La Zenia Boulevard where the reception of the Magi will take place in the central mall.
The councilor said that the event continues to grow year on year with the coming parade planned to be bigger and better than ever before. Soubrier said that she was intending that the main float will be sponsored and that having hosted the Magi in the mall last year she could say in advance that the coming event will be well martialled and safe.
Ms Scheurer said there will be at least three floats and each will be accompanied by a multitude of animals and dancers. She also confirmed that the two stores Al Campo and Leroy Merlin will participate in the parade.
In addition to the Three Kings parade there will be a Christmas Market which will be held on the public car park directly outside the boulevard from 20 to 23 December and then on 29 December a concert is planned for the esplanade in front of Playa Flamenca.
