Torrevieja’s Small and Medium Business Association, APYMECO, paid homage to Reach Out at a recent gala dinner.

On Friday 31st October, members of the association gathered alongside officials from the town hall including the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolon, for the first annual Cena de Empresarios or Business Dinner.

A delicious meal was enjoyed by all in Restaurante El Puerto before the APYMECO award for 2014 was presented to a local business. This time, the honour went to Astoria by Patrimi, which was praised for its innovation and expertise in the world of textile and fashion.

Three special awards were given at the event – one to Antonio Mateo one of the original APYMECO members, José Manuel Muñoz Espinosa, local entrepreneur and chairperson of APYMECO for four years and finally, a plaque of recognition was given to Reach Out for its important work with local homeless people and families living in poverty.

President of Reach Out, Karolina Leonard, said “It is such an honour that an important local group such as APYMECO has recognised the work we do.

I would like to extend sincere thanks to the President of APYMECO, Caridad Salmeron, for this award and thank the entire association for inviting us to share in a wonderful evening.”
