The hopes and dreams of some Orihuela politicians will not be realised this Christmas, as it has now been confirmed as seemingly impossible for the censure motion to overthrow the government to take place.
The courts in Elche have called the two council members of the Table of Elders to testify as witnesses in the case, Bob Houliston and Carolina Gracia, but the hearing will not be held until April of next year, a month before the municipal elections.
Although it is doubtful that the matter will be resolved in a single day, it now seems clear that this current administrative term will continue with the minority government of the PSOE and Los Verdes, before the public are able to decide again who runs the municipality from May.
