He was accompanied by a number of other nominee which included the current councilor for sport Luis Maria Pizana, who is No. 5 on the PP candidacy list in Torrevieja.
Dolon said that the Party’s manifesto on Youth has a total of 32 proposals that focus on the concerns, many of which have been registered by young Torrevejenses.
One of the main objectives will be the establishment of a University in the city supplementing the educational base which already includes the Conservatory and the International Music Auditorium. For the PP the university will be an absolute priority.
Furthermore, during the next term of government Dolon promised a Multipurpose Youth Centre, which unfortunately could not be developed during the last four years due to the economic crisis, the main focus of which has been serving the needy.
A further PP proposal on Youth will be the creation and implementation of a new municipal aid program to young unmarried people or those who are cohabiting and who need assistance to enable them to enter into home ownership. Each couple will receive a lump sum of 3,000 euros.
Moving onto the Sports manifesto which has 53 proposals, Dolon said that each one of them reflects the needs and demands of torrevejense sporting families.
The Popular Party will continue to invest in the creation of new facilities and infrastructure during the next four years to support athletes, sports clubs and federations and to facilitate the integration of sport into the whole society of Torrevieja.
It is also intended to provide special support to families who have children with difficulties so that they might have better access to sports schools and sports facilities.
For the residents of La Mata Snr Dolon said that his government would construct a covered sports pavilion at no cost to the municipal coffers, on the grounds that have already been allocated.
In closing the current mayor highlighted many of the projects achieved during the current term of office including the completion of the study, design and construction of a swimming pool next to the current heated lap pool, which will encourage activities for swimming Mothers with babies, developing exercises for people with disabilities, physical activity for disabled, as well as injury recovery and the development of complementary sports (aqua gym).
