On Saturday, for the second day, an information truck trailer will be parked in Torrevieja on Saturday offering help and advice to those of reduced ability to find work, whilst also encouraging companies to hire those with disabilities.

The ONCE Foundation is responsible for the exhibition, which will be parked on the Plaza de la Constitución on Saturday, under the encouraging slogan “No te rindas nunca”, or “Don´t give up, ever”, offering advice to find work for people with disabilities.

The Mayor of Torrevieja, José Manuel Dolón, called a meeting prior to the arrival of the truck with the councillor for Social Welfare, Fabiana Ibarra, and the employment technicians and associations working with disabled people in the town, as well as business owners.

Dolón believes in the need to support the disabled people of Torrevieja and especially those who are unemployed, and was therefore keen to maximise the exposure of the event, especially to associations and businesses.

Several workshops will be held on how to face job interviews, the development of the CV, acquire communication skills to interact with colleagues or enrolment in job boards. But above all it has become clear that the intention of the foundation is to maintain contact and to hold periodic meetings with the associations to maintain active information of both applicants and those offering employment.

The trailer will be installed in the Plaza de la Constitución on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. Although the plan is focused mainly on unemployed people with disabilities aged between 16 and 29 years, the meeting has ensured that it will try to serve all people although they do not meet the age range.

The technicians, Antonio Esquiva and Jesús Ganado, have also asked for the involvement of businesses and traders and their associations to come to the truck to learn the advantages they can obtain by employing people with disabilities and to teach them the tools that allow them to publish their offers of employment on the platform www.portalento.es
