Free Paella at Carrefour on Saturday

If you fancy a free portion of paella, the get yourselves down to the Carrefour Commercial Centre in Torrevieja on Saturday 23 July, from 1:30 p.m., and you just might be in luck.

All you have to do to qualify is spend 20 euro in any of the stores located inside the centre, which of course includes Carrefour itself, present your receipt at the promotional stand outside, and you will be given a voucher to hand over at the cooking area to collect your food.

One word of warning though, each ticket is only valid for a single portion of paella, so if you are not on your own you might need to spend more, remembering to pay separately at the till to obtain enough 20 euro receipts for the number of people in your group. Or, you could share a portion of course.

Oh, and when it’s gone, it’s gone, so maybe get there early.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
