Listen to this articleThe Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has notified a total of 1,972 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen test since the last update last Friday. The new cases by province are 316 in Castellón (194,898 in total); 503, in Alicante (533,210 in total), and 1,153, in Valencia (849,299 in total).
Of them, 992 are from people over 60 years old. By province: 207, from Castelló; 244, from Alicante, and 541, from Valencia.
Valencian hospitals currently have 326 people admitted, 10 of them in the ICU: 47, in the province of Castelló, 2 of them in the ICU; 92, in the province of Alicante, 4 in the ICU, and 187, in the province of Valencia, 4 in the ICU.
22 deaths from coronavirus have been reported since the last update, all with dates of death within the last 10 days, except for two people who died in November and one in October. These are 12 women between 60 and 90 years old, and 10 men between 62 and 97 years old. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic is 10,251: 1,228 in the province of Castellón; 3,897, in Alicante, and 5,126, in Valencia.
