The Orihuela Local Police have taken a woman into custody for allegedly being involved in thefts that took place in many stores at the Zenia Boulevard retail mall in Orihuela Costa.
After security personnel at the shopping centre called the police to report many people who they thought were stealing from different businesses, the operation began. Local police patrols were sent to the location to look into what happened.
The officers found the car the women was in and then identified it and looked it over. Many items from different shops were recovered during the operation, and the woman couldn’t explain where they came from.
The recovered items, which were worth more than 800 euros, were the same as items that had been stolen from various stores in the shopping centre. As a result, one of the suspects was arrested for theft, and another person was questioned as part of the investigation.
The police also thought about the fact that there was a child present during the operation and took the necessary steps to protect her according to established regulations.
The Local Police wrote up papers that were sent to the Guardia Civil so they could continue the investigation and get to the bottom of what happened.
Because of the intervention, the things that were found were taken and will be returned to the businesses who were damaged.
