Proyecto Mastral gave all the money they made from selling the 2026 Solidarity Calendar to charity. The calendar had pictures of the weather in Torrevieja and was available for purchase at several places in the city.
AFA White
This time, the two organisations that got 1,250 euros each from the sale of the calendars were AFA Torrevieja, which helps people with Alzheimer’s and their families, and GAEX, which works with former addicts every day.
With this money, both groups will be able to keep working on their essential programmes that help people with Alzheimer’s disease and others who are trying to beat their addictions.
Reopened
The cover of the 2026 Solidarity Calendar has also been changed. It now shows the complete solar eclipse that will be seen in August, which is one of the most important astronomical phenomena of the next few years. The calendar has information about this eclipse and other astronomical events, which makes science and meteorology more accessible to readers.
The groups A FA Torrevieja, GAEX, and Proyecto Mastral would like to publicly thank all the calendar sponsors, points of sale, people who bought the calendar, and photographers who gave their pictures for their help in making this solidarity project possible.
