A 50-year-old man who had been missing from his home in Sax for six days has been discovered deceased in a wooded area adjacent to the road that connects the town to Elda.
An investigation was initiated by the Guardia Civil after the man went missing on the night of March 21st and was last observed riding his motorbike. This investigation ultimately led the agents to neighbouring municipalities.
The search was unsuccessful until Friday, March 27th, when the Local Police of Sax discovered his body in a densely vegetated area adjacent to the CV-833 regional road at kilometre 3.9.
On Monday, the Guardia Civil said that the incident is being investigated as a road accident, potentially involving a vehicle that exited the road and plunged down an embankment. The Road Safety Investigation Unit of the Alicante Traffic Subsector has assumed responsibility for the investigation, and the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of First Instance of Villena has been notified.
