Work on stormwater drainage in Torrevieja starts once again. Starting today, Wednesday April 7th, at 10:00 AM, the Torrevieja Local Police Department tells homeowners that stormwater drainage work will commence again on Ramón Gallud Street, at its intersection with María Parodi Street, and will last until mid-June.
Because of these works, traffic on this part of the road will be disrupted over the whole construction period, with clearly marked temporary detours.
If you’re driving, riding a motorcycle, or using a personal mobility vehicle (such a scooter) to get to the area from Calle Ramón Gallud , you should either take Calle Azorín to the promenade or turn left onto Calle Joaquín Chapaprieta.
But trucks, large cargo vehicles, and buses won’t be able to utilise this part and will have to travel around it on Calle Orihuela.

It has also been said that the bus stop near the Hotel Fontana is closed for the time being while the construction is going on.
The Local Police are asking people to help out and suggesting that cars follow the temporary signs and plan their trips ahead of time to avoid problems.
