The National Police arrested a 45-year-old woman in the city of Alicante for her suspected involvement in drug trafficking. The suspect was intercepted in her vehicle shortly after she allegedly completed a narcotics transaction. Investigators believe the operation has successfully dismantled a local drug supply point.
Officers from the narcotics unit of the Northern District Police Station were conducting a surveillance operation to prevent drug sales in the area when they observed a vehicle driven by the woman pull up alongside a man standing on the public highway. According to a police statement, officers witnessed what appeared to be an exchange of substances.
The officers intervened and identified themselves as National Police. Upon inspection, they discovered that the woman had handed the man a small bag containing marijuana and hashish. She was immediately detained on suspicion of drug trafficking.
Following the arrest, a search was conducted at her property. During the raid, police seized 13 grams of cocaine, 150 grams of marijuana, 70 grams of speed, three grams of tusi (pink cocaine), and a precision scale. Officers also confiscated 685 euro in cash.
After the completion of initial police proceedings, the woman was placed at the disposal of the Alicante duty courts. The National Police highlighted that the arrest has effectively eradicated a significant drug distribution point located in the northern district of the city.
