Next weekend, Friday 29th and Saturday 30th May, Callosa de Segura offers an unmissable event for lovers of live music and outdoor street atmosphere at the Paseo de la Estación. The inaugural event is organised by the Association of Hospitality Traders of Callosa de Segura (ASHOCA) with the collaboration of the local Department of Commerce and Hospitality.
Featuring a distinct fast food selection, the event will provide a varied offer of street food, ranging from traditional burgers and Mexican food, to more local specialities such as potato omelettes in various flavours or assorted fried foods. Visitors can also enjoy desserts, coffees, a morning vermouth or afternoon drinks.
On Friday 29th May, local bands “Iguana Lola” and “Cactus Mama” will perform, while Saturday night will feature live music from “Cóctel Flamenco” and Rafal band “Situación Límite”. The festival will benefit from free parking on Friday and Saturday at the courtyard of the CEIP Primo de Rivera school, located just 150 metres from the venue.
A karaoke contest aimed at both children and adults will liven up the morning and afternoon of Saturday 30 May. This will complement the Youth Forum organised by the Department of Youth, which has invited local young people to a debate at 11.30am to discuss the “Pla Jove” (Youth Plan).
On Friday 29th May, doors are scheduled to open at 8.00pm, with live performances by “Iguana Lola” at 9.00pm and “Cactus Mama” at 11.00pm. On Saturday 30th May, the children’s karaoke contest is scheduled for 12.00pm and the adult karaoke contest for 5.00pm, followed by live music from “Cóctel Flamenco” at 9.00pm and “Situación Límite” at 11.00pm.
Representatives from the Department of Commerce and Hospitality stated that they want to share their commitment to continuing to support events that position the city as a leisure destination. These initiatives provide weekend options for residents of Callosa de Segura while successfully attracting visitors to the town.
