A fifty-year-old man has been taken to hospital after his tipper truck overturned at a roundabout in Almoradi on Monday afternoon, 1st June.
The accident took place at 4:37 p.m. at the CV-91 highway exit. Firefighters rushed to the scene to assist the driver, who fortunately managed to free himself from the overturned vehicle without rescue equipment.
Paramedics treated the driver at the scene for multiple contusions before transferring him in a Basic Life Support ambulance to the Vega Baja University Hospital in Orihuela.
Firefighters from the Almoradi fire station worked quickly to contain an oil spill caused by the crash, preventing further hazards on the road. The Provincial Consortium reported that the emergency teams successfully concluded their intervention by 5:45 p.m.
