The Ciudad de la Luz film studios have strengthened their digitalisation strategy with the launch of a brand-new web platform. The online portal has been custom-designed to attract both national and international audiovisual projects to the Valencian Community by providing a comprehensive, interactive toolkit for filmmakers.
A key highlight of the new platform is its pioneering interactive shooting schedule simulator. Users can seamlessly explore the facility’s extensive assets, including its six state-of-the-art soundstages, the large water tank, various support buildings, and a complete services directory. Through this tool, production teams can generate a downloadable PDF document packed with all the technical and logistical specifications necessary to accurately budget a production.
The website also introduces a dedicated hub for local industry professionals and service companies, functioning as a virtual showcase to connect regional talent with major global projects. Additionally, a brand-new section for outdoor locations has been integrated. This open catalogue allows city councils, Film Offices, and private individuals to propose external spaces to be included in a growing database of settings available for future filming across the region.
Beyond logistics, the digital experience features complete photo galleries of the soundstages, the indoor and outdoor water tanks, and the expansive backlot areas. This enables location scouts and creative departments to thoroughly assess the spaces and their technical capabilities without the immediate need to travel.
The platform also centralises crucial financial and environmental guidance. Film producers can easily access details regarding state tax deductions and regional support programmes. Furthermore, the portal links directly to the Ciudad de la Luz Green Book, a comprehensive guide aimed at encouraging sustainable shoots that align with emission reduction targets and green financing requirements.
To ensure seamless global communication, the entire platform, its press area, and all downloadable resources are fully available in three languages: Spanish, Valencian, and English. Through this digital upgrade, Ciudad de la Luz aims to streamline operations for production companies and reinforce its standing as one of the premier cinematic production hubs in Europe.
