A 57-year-old man was left injured following a workplace accident in El Campello after he fell from scaffolding on the second floor of a construction site on Cancillería Real street.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, 7th July, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Once the call was received, the Provincial Fire Consortium dispatched a command unit, a heavy urban fire engine, a heavy water tanker, a sergeant, a corporal, and six firefighters from the San Vicente del Raspeig station to the scene.
Emergency services performed a specialised manoeuvre to lower the worker safely to ground level, allowing him to be transferred to medical professionals. The operation was conducted with the assistance of the Local Police and the Guardia Civil.
A basic life support unit also attended the construction site. According to CICU sources, the medical team treated the man for back pain before transferring him to Sant Joan Hospital for further care.
