Arenales del Sol will once again place Elche on the national sporting map with the celebration, on September 12th and 13th, of the decisive stages of the Iberdrola League and the Suzuki Triathlon League, which will culminate with the Spanish SuperSprint Club, Mixed Relay, and SuperSprint 2×2 Triathlon Championships.
The competition will bring together the 60 best clubs from the First and Second Divisions, in both women’s and men’s categories, as well as numerous teams participating in the Open categories. The events will take place between the beach of Arenales del Sol, where the swimming segment will be held, and an urban circuit that will run along Avenida San Bartolomé de Tirajana and the streets of Albacete and Bahía.
The Councillor for Sports, José Antonio Román, has highlighted that it is a satisfaction for Arenales del Sol to once again be the venue for a top-level national competition, because it represents an important showcase for Elche and confirms our capacity to organise major sporting events.
In addition, he has pointed out that these types of events help to boost the municipality and reinforce the City Council’s commitment to sport and sports tourism.
The sports programme will begin on Saturday, September 12th, with the Spanish SuperSprint Club Triathlon Championship and the National Mixed Relay Championship, while on Sunday, September 13th, the Spanish SuperSprint 2×2 Championship will be contested, an event that will definitively decide the titles of the national leagues for the 2026 season.
