Guardia Civil officers discovered the body of a 45-year-old man on a sunbed at a beach in Villajoyosa, Alicante, yesterday, Sunday morning, 9th August. Authorities have confirmed that the body showed no signs of violence.
Emergency services were alerted around 8.30 am following a call to the 112 emergency number reporting an unresponsive individual on a sunbed. Officers from the Guardia Civil quickly deployed to the scene on the Villajoyosa coastline.
Upon arrival, responders confirmed that the man, a Spanish national, had died. Initial enquiries indicate there were no visible injuries or evidence of third-party involvement. Following the formal recovery of the body, it was transferred to the Forensic Anatomical Institute, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.
