Torrevieja Council has announced a reorganisation of its festive schedule for 15th August, confirming that the town’s traditional Summer Parade will not take place this year.
The decision was taken by the Department of Festivities in collaboration with the Torrevieja Carnival Association. Municipal sources explained that high summer temperatures were a key factor in the decision to remove the parade from this year’s festive programme.
Furthermore, the event coincided with several other major high-attendance occasions across Torrevieja on the same evening. These include the Leiva concert taking place as part of the Brilla Torrevieja festival, as well as the traditional Fiestas de San Roque.
Council officials noted that running multiple large-scale events simultaneously requires a substantial deployment of security, mobility, and staff coordination resources. Adjusting the schedule ensures municipal services can maintain safe and effective operations.
Torrevieja Council expressed its gratitude to local residents, community groups, and visitors for their understanding, reaffirming its commitment to continuing to promote festive activities organised under optimal conditions.
