The Local Police in Alcoy have identified several young people allegedly involved in an assault on a minor within the municipality. The local force’s Tutor Agent Unit became aware of the incident on Monday, 10th August, after videos depicting the attack were shared online.
Officers acted immediately due to the serious nature of the situation, locating and identifying the youths seen in the footage, according to a statement issued by Alcoy Town Council.
Preventive legal proceedings have been drawn up and handed over to the Family and Women Care Unit (UFAM) of the National Police. This step is required before officially bringing the case to the attention of the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
Alcoy Security Councillor, Raül Llopis, praised the quick response and effectiveness of the police force in maintaining public order and safeguarding residents. He stated that although the incident was very serious, officers worked from the outset to trace those involved and pass all relevant details to the National Police to ensure the victim is protected.
