The procurement process to execute regeneration works on the slope of Guardamar del Segura Castle has received a single offer. Excavaciones Simon SL was the only company to bid for the project launched by Guardamar del Segura Town Hall. The Contracting Board has unanimously agreed to propose the firm as the contractor for the project, which forms part of the Plan Vega Renhace.
The company submitted a financial offer of 239,023.40 euro including VAT, compared to the base tender budget of 241,348.86 euro. This proposal represents a reduction of 2,325.46 euro, which is close to 1% below the maximum budget established for the contract.
The documentation presented by Excavaciones Simon was examined by the Contracting Board, which agreed to admit the firm to the procedure. Checks confirmed that the financial offer was not abnormally low based on the contract parameters. Alongside the price, the business accepted the three improvements included in the award criteria, though it did not offer an extension to the guarantee period or a reduction in the execution timeframe. The final scoring for the bid reached 70 points, comprising 50 points for the financial proposal and 20 points for the three improvements.
As it was the only bid submitted and admitted, the Contracting Board unanimously recommended that the contracting authority award the contract to Excavaciones Simon, marking a key step before final contract award. The intervention, planned for a site declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, has an execution period of four months. It aims to regenerate one of the gullies on the Guardamar del Segura Castle slope by building earth terraces and five gabion walls to reduce erosion and contain sediment.
