Two men have been arrested following an alleged robbery with intimidation on the beach in El Altet, located within the municipality of Elche. The arrests were made after the suspects allegedly attempted to steal a shoulder bag from an elderly man.
The operation was made possible thanks to the rapid response and coordination of police units deployed in the coastal area, including officers from the GRUMAT unit, who intervened after being alerted to the incident.
According to police information, the two suspects were armed when they attempted to take the victim’s bag. The swift action of the officers enabled them to locate the alleged perpetrators quickly and take them into custody.
Police highlighted that the intervention underscores the importance of effective coordination between different police units to respond rapidly to such incidents, particularly when vulnerable or elderly individuals are targeted.
